Associate Dean for Dental Foundation Training

Overview:

An exciting opportunity to join the Postgraduate Dental team in the South West as the Associate Dean for Dental Foundation Training (DFT). This key leadership role involves responsibility for the Dental Foundation Training programme within the South West region, supporting newly qualified dentists to become safe and independent performers on the NHS performer list.

The Associate Dean will work closely with the Postgraduate Dean, Training Programme Directors, and other regional and national stakeholders to drive quality improvement, align with NHS England mandates, and implement recommendations from Advancing Dental Care and the Dental Education Reform Programme.

The role also emphasizes leadership, innovation, and collaboration to ensure high-quality outcomes for dental trainees, enhance patient safety and care, and meet future workforce needs.
