What you’ll be doing

  • The Child, Youth and Family (CYF) Community, Clinical Administration Officer, works as part of a CYF Health Administration Team, under the direction of the Brighter Beginnings Health and Development Checks (BBHDC) in Preschools Program Manager, which is part of the Child and Family Community Service within NSLHD.
  • The BBHDC program is a collaboration between NSW Health, the NSW Department of ECE, and preschools that aims to deliver health and development checks for preschool-age children. The service aims to identify children with health and development concerns and enhance access to early intervention support for children and their families before they start primary school.
  • The administration officer provides professional and client-related administrative and some secretarial support to nursing and allied health staff, providing care and support for families enrolled with SNF Service. The role plays a pivotal role in contributing to a positive client experience by providing the professional, responsive, customer focused first point of contact, ensuring all phone, email and other enquiries are promptly responded to.
  • The role undertakes various client-related administration tasks, including accurate client registration in electronic medical records while ensuring the integrity of all client data held in the electronic client record. The incumbent assists with client correspondence. The position also assists with appointment scheduling, including coordinating meetings and room booking processes for team and multidisciplinary clinical reviews and preparing meeting papers. The role also assists with data and roster entry, including the use of spreadsheets. The position assists the manager with office equipment registers, organising maintenance requests, and servicing fleet vehicles. The role also assists the CYF Nurse Manager with essential administration support.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

 

  • Experience in providing administration support in a healthcare environment, including client reception, appointment scheduling, record management and procurement. Current unrestricted driversโ€™ license
  • recognised in New South Wales. (P2 acceptable)
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and track record of completing work accurately and within required deadlines
  • Demonstrated high level computer literacy and superior word processing/typing skills with strong attention to detail. Experience using client and electronic record keeping and ordering systems. Competent using
  • Microsoft Office 365 applications including Word, Outlook, Excel spreadsheets and Publisher. Willingness and capacity to learn to use any new digital systems relevant to the purpose of this position.
