Job Qualification:

Registered Nurse/Midwife with appropriate professional qualification

Educated to Masters level or equivalent experience in a senior nursing role

Salary: £105,385 – £121,271 per annum

Job Overview:
The Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality will manage the Direct Commissioning Quality and Safeguarding team, overseeing the quality management systems for directly commissioned services. The role will work collaboratively across regional and national teams, supporting the NHS South West to deliver high-quality services. The postholder will contribute to the NHS long-term plan, develop strategies for quality improvement, and promote innovations in health and social care systems.

Main Duties:

Drive strategy for quality improvement across the region.

Develop operational policies for quality governance, improvement, and innovation.

Engage with national and regional policy makers to inform strategy.

Oversee quality of healthcare in secure and detained settings.

Champion new initiatives and lead on quality assurance improvement frameworks.

Provide clinical leadership and expert advice on nursing care.
