Job Description

A fantastic long-term opportunity has arisen for a Graphic Designer to join our national team with role based in the SOUTH AUSTRALIA Adelaide office. We are looking for someone supervising or carrying out production in the chosen media and the marketing function, and provide practical, hands-on support in formulating design concepts for the subject to be communicated in all areas of the business.

This role is coordinating all aspects of selecting, specifying, or recommending functional and aesthetic materials and media for publication, delivery, or display for Elevate support care.

Elevate Support Care is a disability services provider with Head office based in Melbourne, Victoria. It provides a range of in-home and community-based support services for people with disability. Our Mission is to deliver exceptional personalized in-home community support service to people who are ageing and disabled and add value to their lives.

With a branch opened in April 2021 in South Australia, Elevate Support has established Elevate Support care in Disability and Aging Care in South Australia and require someone who can handle all the messages, increase our brand awareness, leverage the latest communication platforms, and make sure we are at the forefront of promoting our services in disability sector in-house from our Adelaide office.

Your job:

• Create online digital assets – website design assets, digital banners, social media graphics
• Coordinate the design and development of promotional materials.
• Research, analyse and produce functional communication requirements for our website, EDMs, and newsletters.
• Create engaging social media campaigns.
• Deliver specialised campaigns in NDIS sector.
• Maintain and update the website regularly with new events, news, opportunities, and business support programs.
• Craft and send regular newsletters, event invitations and other communications to our member base and industry stakeholders.
• Help business in marketing services such as designing promotion across various channels, eBooks, webinars, and our Marketing & Communications Tribe.
• Promote and build Elevate support care’s profile and brand across various media.
• Network with industry stakeholders and members to drive Elevate support care brand awareness.

Skills and experience:

• Experience in a similar role with at least 3-4 years in a B2B business environment.
• Working knowledge of web content management tools.
• Proven track record executing campaigns on social media, creating engaging content, content schedules, and copy writing.
• Use of SEO and Google Analytics to improve marketing impact.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with various customer databases and CRMs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience in an industry or membership association would be a plus.

You will become the brand custodian, ensuring correct use of assets and structure but are also capable of conceptualising and designing campaign creative within it.

Your job:

Job Responsibilities

· Developing Visual Branding: Create and maintain a cohesive visual identity for the organization, including designing logos (brand identity), colour schemes, and typography that reflect the brand’s values and resonate with the target audience.

· Designing Print Materials: Design brochures, pamphlets, flyers, posters, banners, hoardings and other printed materials to promote the organization’s services, events, and campaigns. Ensure that the designs are visually appealing, informative, and aligned with branding guidelines.

· Creating Digital Graphics: Develop visually compelling graphics for digital platforms, such as social media posts, email newsletters, website banners, and online advertisements. Optimize graphics for different screen sizes and platforms.

· Collaborating with Marketing Team: Work closely with the marketing team to understand their goals and translate them into effective visual designs. Collaborate on marketing campaigns and provide creative input to enhance their effectiveness.

· Collaborating with Clients: Collaborating with clients to understand their design objectives and deliver effective and impressive design solutions. Conceptualizing and creating visual designs and layouts for various mediums, such as print, digital, and social media based on client or project requirements.

· Feedback & Revisions: Presenting design concepts and receiving feedback for revisions and getting back again without compromising quality and/or deadlines. Managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.

• Branding: Creating brand awareness and developing brand engagement by designing impressive visuals for print and digital content development and Collaborating across functions to deliver creative bcontent for projects as required.

· Image Editing and Retouching: Edit and retouch photographs to enhance their quality, ensure consistency, and align with the organization’s brand guidelines. This may involve cropping, colour correction, resizing, and other editing techniques.

· Pre-press:Creating and preparing files for print production, including formatting, colour management, and preparing final deliverables. Adapting and resizing designs for different applications and platforms.

· Website Design: Creating visually appealing and user-friendly website layouts and interfaces. Designing website wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using graphic design software and web design tools, that align with the organization’s branding.

· Website Graphics: Creating and optimizing graphics, icons, and images for web use. Incorporating branding elements, typography, colour schemes, and visual hierarchy to enhance the user experience.

· User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Design: Focus on creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces that facilitate easy navigation and interaction. Consider user experience best practices to ensure a positive and accessible experience for visitors.

· Responsive Design: Develop websites that are optimized for different devices and screen sizes, ensuring a consistent and visually appealing experience across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.

· Website Development: Collaborating with web developers or programmers to ensure the design is implemented accurately. Ensuring the final output is adhering to brand guidelines.

· Research and Update: Staying updated with industry trends, design techniques, and software advancements. Conducting research and gathering design inspiration for new projects. Continuously improving design skills through professional development and self-learning.

Skills and experience:

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a graphic design role, preferably working with digital content creation in a corporate environment.
• A strong design portfolio that demonstrates conceptual and creative thinking including demonstrated traffic management skill-set.
• Working knowledge of web content management tools.
• Proven track record of Finished art and print productionincluding catalogue experience essential.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Slack, Trello and Hootsuite.
• Experience working with developing templates and style guidelines.
• Passion for the digital medium
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with various customer databases and CRMs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience in an industry or membership association would be a plus.
