Job Overview:
The Head of Commercial – Partnering and Solutions (Clinical) is a senior leadership role responsible for supporting NHS England Directorates in developing and managing commercial strategies and pipelines. The role includes accountability for high-impact commercial arrangements, often involving critical, high-value, and complex projects with significant reputational risk. The post-holder will ensure adherence to best industry practices, drive value, and minimize risks.
This position is part of the newly established Clinical Partnering and Solutions Team, tasked with embedding new processes, establishing procedures, and fostering collaborative relationships with directorates to optimize commercial activity. The role demands significant procurement and commercial experience, a strategic outlook, and excellent leadership abilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Business partnering with directorates to build and manage commercial pipelines.
Developing and implementing commercial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Leading on NHS England’s most critical commercial arrangements, ensuring robust risk management and value optimization.
Supporting the establishment of new processes and embedding improved ways of working across the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the commercial lifecycle, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and a proven track record in managing change and leading complex commercial activities.
