Head of Finance – Commissioning

An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS England’s East of England Region for a Head of Finance – Commissioning in the Commissioning Finance Team. This role supports the Director of Commissioning Finance in leading the Specialised Commissioning Finance Team and ensuring effective financial planning, oversight, and management of specialised commissioning budgets.

The role involves strategic leadership in preparing for and transitioning specialised commissioning services to Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), providing financial advice, overseeing contract negotiations, and driving transformation initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency. The successful candidate will act as a key financial representative within the region, supporting the integration of commissioning functions and ensuring alignment with the NHS’s goals of delivering high-quality, inclusive healthcare.
