Job Overview:

NHS England is seeking an experienced, analytical, and dedicated individual to join as Head of Improvement within the Private Offices of the NHS Chief Executive, Chief Finance Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. This role is pivotal in supporting NHS leadership with high-quality analytics, particularly focusing on Urgent & Emergency Care (UEC) improvement.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide essential data and analytics to NHS leadership to support UEC performance and broader NHS objectives.

Respond to analytical requests from senior leaders, create narratives based on data, and ensure accuracy in cross-government communications.

Collaborate closely with analytical teams, develop and manage performance dashboards, and improve operational data evaluation methods.

Lead analytical projects and liaise with external organizations on data commissions.

Anticipate future data insights to aid the CEO, CFO, and COO in strategic planning.

Key Requirements:

Qualification: Masterโ€™s degree or equivalent experience in urgent and emergency care.

Skills: Strong analytical and strategic skills; proficiency in data interpretation, statistical process control, and information technology.

Experience: Proven track record in building relationships with senior NHS leaders; expert in negotiation, facilitation, and mediation.

Knowledge: Deep understanding of current healthcare policy and NHS operational processes.
