Job Overview:

As the Head of Training and Events, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for delivering expert NHS procurement-focused training to both NHS procurement professionals and non-procurement delegates. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on the NHS by shaping the future of procurement training and supporting a talented team to achieve the best outcomes for their organisations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead a small team of training and event professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality procurement training programs.

Design, develop, and deliver both in-person and online training sessions for procurement professionals within the NHS.

Represent NOECPC at events and media engagements.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and opportunities, ensuring all training materials are up-to-date and relevant.

Organise and manage training events, ensuring smooth execution.

Contribute to the development of procurement strategies and improvement initiatives for NHS procurement services.

Work with external partners and stakeholders to promote NOECPC’s training initiatives.

Person Specification:
Qualifications:

Essential:

MCIPS (Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply)

Desirable: Relevant experience in NHS procurement or a similar field.

Experience:

Demonstrable experience of creating content and delivering training, particularly to procurement professionals.

Experience of organizing and managing large successful events, both in-person and online.

Skills & Attributes:

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and maintain high customer service standards.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Creative and innovative approach to developing training programs.

Organized, with exceptional attention to detail.
