Wood currently has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Document Controller in our Power Solutions Program. Reporting to the Drafting & Document Control Manager. This position is located in our Vancouver, BC office. This role has an overall responsibility for providing support to Wood project teams in the control and issuance of engineering documents.   • Supporting engineering projects through the management of project documentation
  • Ensuring that the document control function is being performed in accordance with corporate procedures and project requirements in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assisting the Engineering team to package submissions and ensure that all signing/checking is completed in accordance with Wood procedures
  • Ensuring required filing and archiving of technical documents is done in a timely manner
    Storing, securing, revising, retrieving, distributing and archiving electronic and hard copy documents
  • Produce drawing and document status reports
  • Ensuring that all internally prepared drawings and documents are logged into the document control system, distributed, and returned by users in accordance with Wood and client procedures
  • Ensuring vendor drawings and documents in both electronic and hard copy format are logged with transmittal memoranda, distributed to, and returned by, users in accordance with Wood and client procedures
  • Communicating effectively with the appropriate engineering disciplines including providing ongoing updates on status of work
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment
  • Ability to operate a computer, and other standard office equipment
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally with all staff levels within the office
  • Experience in engineering and vendor document control is not required but preferred
  • Firsthand experience with SharePoint an asset
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
