Job Title: Lead Product Manager
Location: 7 and 8 Wellington Place, Leeds, London, Southport, Exeter (other sites to be agreed)
Salary: £74,290 – £85,601 per annum (exclusive of London weighting)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week, 2 FTE positions available)

The NHS is embarking on a digital transformation, and the Lead Product Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital primary care. This exciting opportunity within the Digital Primary Care team is designed to help transform the technology used in primary care, making a positive impact on healthcare outcomes at scale. The role involves leading multi-disciplinary teams to introduce products and services that benefit healthcare professionals and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide senior-level product leadership, ensuring alignment with user needs and organisational goals.
Lead and mentor product managers to develop products that create value and meet user requirements.
Work collaboratively across teams to scope and shape propositions, ensuring value delivery through incremental steps and end-to-end user journeys.
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and success measures to track product effectiveness.
Drive cross-organisational collaboration, ensuring alignment of vision and goals across programmes, stakeholders, and delivery partners.
The successful candidate will contribute to a product-led, user experience-focused culture within the organisation. This role will also help define how the NHS approaches innovation and digital technology in primary care.
Qualifications:
Evidence of continuous professional development (e.g., courses, conferences related to product and delivery management, agile practices, and software development).
Desirable: Practitioner-level qualifications in Product Management (e.g., CSPO, PSPO), Agile qualification.
Skills & Experience:
Expertise in product management, especially in digital products, with a focus on outcomes over outputs.
Experience prioritising product features and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to foster relationships with stakeholders and manage third-party suppliers.
Knowledge of the challenges of large-scale digital products and familiarity with digital technologies like APIs is a plus.
