This is a fixed term contract for one year to cover maternity leave.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer in Nutrition to join our academic team in the Centre for Nutrition and the Health. Our Centre provides the home for our academic portfolio of nutrition and dietetics degrees, postgraduate and applied research activities, and commercial consultancy. We have close synergies with our sport programmes, particularly the MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition. The post holder will ideally hold a higher degree in Nutrition and/or Dietetics and be registered with the Association for Nutrition (AfN) and/or the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).The new Lecturer will undertake academic and related activities in the delivery of high quality education in Nutrition. The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching and supervision of student research projects at both undergraduate and post graduate level.
Experience required for the post:
We are particularly interested in encouraging applications for our Lecturer post in Nutrition from candidates who have the following
- Background in Human Nutrition and/or Dietetics
- Experience in teaching and assessing at undergraduate and postgraduate level
- Experience and understanding of working in nutrition and/or dietetics discipline
- Evidence of research activity
- Suitable HE teaching qualification (or willingness to undertake in post)
- Ability to contribute to development activities.
