Job Description

You are our corporate storyteller.

A valued member of the Strategic Communications and Marketing team, you craft and deliver narratives that bring our brand to life.

We have many stories to tell: people stories, leading-edge technology stories, community engagement stories. In this role, you use your passion for informing and influencing to ensure these stories capture the essence of who we are and why we do what we do.

Your objectives look like this:

Creating and managing a large volume of written communications material for a range of audiences across UK, Canada, and internationally, ensuring tone is appropriate to the medium
Supporting the development, implementation, and measurement of communications plans
Driving knowledge and engagement across General Dynamics Mission Systems–International by being a trusted advisor

Qualifications

To be successful in this Marketing Communications Specialist role you will have:

• A passion for informing and influencing through exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to take complex information and distill it into clear and concise messaging
• Strong attention to detail, with proven ability to proofread
• Able to work to a high standard with short deadlines
• Deep understanding of digital and social media platforms, analytics tools, and social media best practices
• Proficiency in the use of common communications software applications (Microsoft, Adobe, CMS applications, Vimeo, and image editing software.
• Domestic and international travel as required.
• Ideally has a diploma/degree-level education, preferably in communications, marketing, business studies, journalism or public relations
• Considerable progressive experience in a marketing or communications role

Additional Information
This role has a starting salary of between £39,600 – £49,500 plus our flexible benefits package.

We are open to this role being hybrid with time spent in our offices and time spent from home. Some requirement for travel will be required both within the UK and internationally.
