Where you’ll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) provides comprehensive health care services across western Sydney, guided by values of collaboration, openness, respect, and empowerment. The Patient Liaison Team supports the districtโs goals by focusing on patient revenue and efficient service delivery.
- Maximises patient fee revenue through accommodation and clinical billing processes.
- Provides training, support, and policy adherence across sites to enhance staff capability.
- Manages financial classifications, including private insurance and overseas patient obligations.
- Ensures compliance with NSW Health policies and addresses patient complaints professionally.
- Works in challenging environments, requiring independence, problem-solving, and strong communication.
What you’ll be doing
This position supports patient revenue management within Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). It involves financial classification, policy compliance, and stakeholder engagement to ensure effective outcomes for patients and the organisation.
- Maximises patient revenue through billing and classification processes.
- Provides training and support to staff to enhance revenue management.
- Ensures compliance with NSW Health policies and procedures.
- Addresses patient financial enquiries and manages complaints professionally.
- Works independently in high-pressure environments with strong attention to detail.

- Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment with relationship and marketing skills
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills and capacity to provide and develop sound solutions to complex issues
- Ability to work autonomously as well as being a member of a team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and understanding of NSW Health information systems for billing and patient administration
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to complete tasks within defined timeframes
- Proven capacity to manage concurrent activities of a diverse nature Ability to interpret NSW Health Policy and ensure adherence to this Policy
- Any other duties as directed by your Manager and Current Drivers License is desirable
