Overview:

The Midwifery Quality and Professional Development Lead role is a senior-level position within the NHS aimed at driving improvements in maternity and neonatal care across the Midlands region. This exciting opportunity is designed for a highly skilled and organized professional with extensive experience in clinical maternity, quality assurance, and professional development.

As part of the regional team, the post holder will support strategic and operational advancements, ensuring alignment with national quality strategies, the Single Delivery Plan, Ockenden recommendations, and other key policies. This role also involves professional leadership, guidance on patient safety, and promoting clinical governance and quality improvement.

The successful candidate will collaborate with regional and ICB colleagues, lead professional midwifery advocate (PMA) networks, and oversee the implementation of quality surveillance models. This impactful position offers the chance to contribute significantly to the improvement of perinatal services while fostering a culture of compassion, inclusivity, and excellence within the NHS.
