About the Role:

As a Resource Manager within NHS England, you will play a pivotal role in supporting internal workforce, training, and education (WT&E) initiatives. Working under the Head of Resourcing (Operations Improvement), you will lead the development and delivery of strategic reviews to ensure efficient resourcing. This role emphasizes improving processes, managing key workforce projects, and safeguarding resource efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Resource Development: Lead a series of strategic reviews for WT&E resource alignment, collaborating with NHS England partners.

Post-Transition Support: Oversee resourcing activities following the ‘Creating the new NHS England’ program to uphold cost-saving and efficiency principles.

Reporting & Information Management: Manage PMO reporting, including RAIDD and highlight reports, for WT&E directors and governance boards.

Stakeholder & Risk Management: Engage stakeholders effectively, drive change, and manage risks using influence and improvement approaches.

Team Management: Supervise a Resourcing Business Support Officer, supporting their growth and performance.

Required Qualifications:

Masterโ€™s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience at a similar level.

Extensive experience in healthcare or a comparable environment, with demonstrated budget and stakeholder management skills.

Deep understanding of NHS policies, healthcare objectives, and national healthcare standards.

Skills:

Strong analytical skills to interpret quantitative and qualitative data, make informed decisions, and prioritize conflicting tasks.

High-level verbal and written communication, with the ability to handle complex, sensitive information effectively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong project planning skills.
