Job Title: Strategic Programmes Senior Manager
Location: Wellington House, London
Salary: £70,387 – £80,465 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

This role is part of a dynamic team supporting the Integrated Urgent and Emergency Care (IUEC) programme. The Strategic Programme Senior Manager will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality, coordinated Programme Management Office (PMO), meeting all NHS and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support the delivery of IUEC Programme Management Office objectives, ensuring successful outcomes.

Foster positive relationships with regional PMOs and workstream leads to drive programme objectives.

Translate IUEC policy requirements into actionable deliverables and outcomes.

Manage key PMO tasks, ensuring effective reporting, governance, and risk management.

Lead relevant meetings and attend key governance meetings as the IUEC representative.

Develop and maintain programme architecture within the assigned workstream.

Qualifications and Experience:

Programme or Project Management Qualification (Managing Successful Programmes or equivalent).

Master’s level education or equivalent senior-level experience in a specialist area.

Proven experience in delivering complex transformation programmes in the public sector, particularly within the NHS.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong understanding of NHS strategic and operational planning processes.

Excellent communication and decision-making skills, particularly in complex situations.

Ability to manage financial and staff resources effectively.

Capability to work independently, managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
