Job Overview:

NHS England is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer (Senior Cloud Engineer) to join their Data and Analytics team. The role focuses on the development and management of platforms and technology services for health and social care across England, contributing to the creation of innovative data products and services. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to support the ongoing development and operational management of various platforms such as UDAL, DPS, CDP, SUS+, SDE, and other legacy systems.

Main Duties:

Contribute to the development of system architecture using logical models of components and interfaces.

Lead the elaboration of assigned User Stories to ensure their deliverability by team members.

Serve as a subject matter expert in specific technical areas, ensuring up-to-date, hands-on experience.

Create an environment that allows teams to work effectively, with a clear direction and efficient collaboration.

Champion team development in response to evolving project needs and stakeholder demands.

Act as the key technical point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Person Specification:
Essential Qualifications:

Masterโ€™s or equivalent qualification in a computer, scientific, or mathematical subject or equivalent experience.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Experience using appropriate tools and models for system architecture development.

Proven ability to lead the elaboration of User Stories and guide team members in delivering them.

Experience managing and developing teams to achieve changing delivery needs.

Ability to initiate and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.

Strong leadership skills, including fostering a collaborative team environment.

Salary: ยฃ62,215 – ยฃ72,293 per annum

Salary Currency: GBP

Salary Unit: Per Year

Job Experience:

Candidates should have experience in systems engineering, cloud technologies, and data platforms, with a strong background in system architecture and team leadership.

Visa Sponsorship:

Yes, NHS England holds a Sponsor Licence, and they may be able to sponsor the candidate through the Skilled Worker route, provided the Home Office requirements are met.
