Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Assistant

Overall Purpose
The role will be located within the School’s Teaching, Learning and Student Experience team and will provide administrative support to the delivery of taught Masters and Undergraduate programmes. The post-holder will work with other members of the TLSE team to support the activities of academic teaching staff and their students, and to provide support to School and Faculty projects as required.
Main Responsibilities
The post holder’s key duties will include but will not be limited to:
Programme administration
- Provide administrative support for teaching staff and students.
- Dealing with student enquiries face-to-face, on the phone and via email.
- To support the School’s Student Support Hub.
- To maintain student records, updating University systems as appropriate.
- To assist full-time and part-time students with the registration process and to help ensure that all students are fully registered. To assist with the production and management of teaching timetables using Syllabus+.
- To assist with other course arrangements and the production of course materials as required.
- To be responsible for updating course unit information on Campus Solutions.
- To produce official documentation such as student transcripts and letters and programme handbooks as required.
- To service Committees and Exam Boards as required.
- Assisting the delivery of student experience and induction activities.
- To be responsible for the monitoring and recording of work and attendance of students, including the completion of the
- International Student Census.
- Update programme and course unit information on Blackboard as required.
