Job Overview:
The Lead Technical Assurance Specialist (Data Assurance) will work within the Data and Analytics team at NHS England. The primary responsibility is to ensure the integrity, quality, and risk management of data flows across NHS England’s data platforms, such as DPS and SDE. This role will also involve overseeing end-to-end data testing and assurance processes, providing guidance to junior team members, and deputizing for the Principal Technical Assurance Specialist when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Assurance: Utilize in-depth knowledge of NHS datasets and data platforms to assess and ensure the quality and risk management of data flows across NHS Englandโs systems.
Standardization and Process Improvement: Adhere to and help improve data assurance standards set by the Centre of Expertise.
Leadership and Mentorship: Guide junior staff and deputize for the Principal Technical Assurance Specialist when required.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to improve data management processes and resolve data issues.
Testing: Conduct comprehensive data testing to assess risks and ensure the reliability and accuracy of data across NHS England platforms.
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential Qualifications:
ISEB/ISTQB Software Testing Foundation Certificate (Certified or Agile Tester) or equivalent.
Experience:
Proven track record in using structured test data and data environment provision to enable testing.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers.
Extensive experience in data analysis and assurance, including identifying test scenarios and validating outcomes.
Specialized Knowledge:
Expertise in data process testing, including data interfaces, management tools, and anonymization techniques, particularly in large-scale, multi-component delivery contexts.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary: ยฃ53,755 – ยฃ60,504 per annum (based on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
