About the Role:

The Training Programme Director will play a crucial role in the management and delivery of the obstetrics and gynaecology training programme, supporting the Head of School in ensuring high-quality educational outcomes for trainees. This position involves coordinating training opportunities, improving learner supervision, and fostering faculty engagement within the NHS framework. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across health and social care, adapting educational provision to align with evolving service models.

Key Responsibilities:

Arrange and allocate training opportunities for Level 3 trainees in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Engage with multi-professional teams to enhance the training experience and outcomes.

Work with the Postgraduate Dean to reflect on and adapt educational strategies in response to changing health service needs.

Contribute to workforce transformation initiatives and develop professional links across disciplines.

Qualifications:

M.Sc. or PhD in a relevant biological science.

Fellowship of a professional association and/or body related to obstetrics and gynaecology.

Proven experience in clinical and educational leadership, including managing multi-professional teams.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to innovate and problem-solve within a complex healthcare environment.

Commitment to personal development and supporting the development of others.

Sponsorship:

The position is eligible for NHS visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route, provided that the Home Office requirements are met.
