BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supplier Performance Analyst – Vendor Performance is focused on collaborating with our suppliers to create world-class customer experience. The ideal candidate will be hyper focused on continuous supplier improvement by relaying performance measures in clear and actionable manner, have a passion for problem solving and root-cause analysis, and exceptional at using data to drive decisions. The primary focus of this role is to measure Operational Performance with our supplier base and then to provide clear, concise, and actionable feedback as to create world-class customer experience. The ideal candidate will excel at coaching high impact suppliers to improve their performance and be able to articulate how scoring impacts other areas of the business. A candidate will work with a cross-functional group of internal partners to ensure our metrics and measures evolves with changing market dynamics and business needs. This individual must be highly motivated, team focused, organized and detail oriented and must possess solid analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Owns the operational conversation with our supplier base from start to finish by performing in-depth analysis, synthesizes results, develops stories, builds strategies, and makes recommendations to business and technical leaders.
- Strategically manages the processes and procedures of suppliers through MSCโs Operational Scorecard to improve performance.
- Educates suppliers on expectations and procedures of supplying to MSC to improve operational efficiency and reduce cost of business.
- Collaborates with key cross functional supply chain partners to proactively identify and solve vendorsโ supply chain issues affecting MSCโs cost and service to customers.
- Identifies opportunities and risks, influence to remove blockers and manage escalations, while driving positive results to maximize growth.
- Utilizes data to understand supplier behavior, partner performance, and operational execution to accelerate speed to improvement.
- Participates in regular meetings with Category/Strategy Management, assessing and addressing issues to identify and implement improvements toward efficient order processing.
- Collaborate with reporting, EDI, scorecard, and Category teams to align on business priorities and strategically follow up with vendors that are not meeting expectations.
- Ability to foster, manage and leverage relationships at varying levels internally & externally up to the executive level.
- Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSCโs vision and unity of purpose.
Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain Management fundamentals
- Familiarity with EDI business documents and processes
- Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights.
- Ability to think and perform in a both strategic and tactical space, concurrently.
- An understanding of business strategy and metrics.
- Ability to multi-task and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced organization.
- Highly motivated, team focused, organized and detail oriented.
- Must possess solid analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Minimum of three years of experience in a field of supply chain management preferred.
Other Requirements:
- A valid driverโs license may be required.
- Position requires up to 10% of travel
- This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (โITARโ) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (โCUIโ).

Compensation starting at $56280 – 88440 depending on experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidateโs relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
