We are seeking 2 talented and motivated Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for web development, a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end technologies, and a creative mindset. As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying digital platforms, from layout to function, according to our company’s specifications. We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about creating exceptional online experiences and staying up-to-date with the latest web development trends.

The Person

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Web Developer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern front-end frameworks.
  • Experience with back-end programming languages (.Net).
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and their customization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in web development.
  • Experience with Agile methodology

THE ROLE

Front-end Development:
  • Develop visually appealing and responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Implement modern front-end frameworks to enhance user interfaces.
Back-end Development:
  • Build server-side logic and databases using programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, or PHP.
  • Integrate back-end services with front-end elements to ensure seamless functionality.
Website Architecture and Design:
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate design wireframes into functional web applications.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Cross-browser Compatibility:
  • Ensure websites are compatible with various browsers, operating systems, and devices.
  • Perform testing and debugging to resolve issues and optimize performance.
Content Management Systems (CMS):
  • Work with popular CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Umbraco, or Drupal) to customize and maintain websites.
Security and Performance Optimization:
  • Implement security best practices to protect websites from security vulnerabilities.
  • Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and other developers, to bring projects to completion.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Stay Updated with Industry Trends:
  • Keep abreast of emerging web technologies and industry best practices.
  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement and optimization of our web development processes.
WRU Requirements
  • The WRU require that individuals are proficient in IT skills, specifically Microsoft packages. Excellent written and verbal communications are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh and a Valid UK Driver’s License is desirable. This role is subject to a basic/enhanced DBS check.
