The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving practice in Bromborough. This is an exciting chance to work alongside an experienced Veterinary Surgeon in a supportive environment.

Role Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be proficient in small animal practice, with a strong client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills. You should be committed to maintaining high medical and surgical standards and have the ambition to further develop your skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care and first-class client service. One day per week will involve sole charge consulting.

Work Schedule:

This full-time position involves a 39-hour workweek over 4 days, providing an excellent work/life balance.

Location:

The Bromborough practice is conveniently situated on Chester Road just off the A41. The practice is easily accessible via the M53, A550, Bromborough station, and Bromborough Rake station. Several bus routes also stop nearby. The practice is located on a parade of shops, with various eateries in close proximity.

Our Team:

Join a friendly and supportive team that includes the Branch Partner and his wife, who serves as the Practice Manager, along with four experienced support staff. The practice handles a substantial surgical and medical caseload and is equipped with the latest facilities. You will also have access to a wide range of services available across our network.

Remuneration:

£65,000 to £70,000 per year

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures
• Provide outstanding client care, with clear patient updates
• Maintain professional excellence and comply with regulatory standards
• Prepare accurate estimates, manage payments, and minimize debt
• Collaborate with the Practice Manager to enhance commercial performance
• Mentor and develop your team, optimizing their skills
• Inspire your team by sharing new practices and evolving standards
• Ensure smooth clinical handovers and arrange enhanced care when necessary
• Support and share clinical best practices within the practice and the wider community

Your Skills and Experience:

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Proven clinical leadership skills
• Experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care
• Understanding of how exceptional care enhances the client experience
• Ability to foster a progressive clinical culture
• Experience in driving strong commercial performance through effective clinical activity management
• Team-oriented with excellent coaching and influencing skills
