Minimum Requirements:
  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate Petroleum Engineering program at an accredited postsecondary institution
  • You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term
  • Please attach your most recent transcripts with your application
Responsibilities:
  • Support projects to optimize Suncor’s on and offshore assets
  • Develop and manage tools for tracking operational efficiencies
  • Evaluate well integrity issues (i.e., corrosion, sand control, surface casing vent flows)
  • Assist with the update and development of Wells Standards and Guidelines
  • Prepare and present summary reports, performance metrics reports and graphical representations
  • Develop geo-models using history matching and thermal reservoir simulations
Location and other Key Details:
  • This is a 4, 8 or 12 month work term starting in September 2023
  • Placements will be in various areas of the business including the Wells and Production Engineering teams.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
