Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust

Job Description

As a preceptor, you will be well supported by our dedicated preceptorship clinical skills facilitators, whilst undertaking a robust preceptorship programme encompassing clinical and pastoral support. You will receive a period of supernumerary time when you start your role and protected time throughout the programme to attend bespoke training opportunities.

Within our highly skilled and multi-disciplined Maternity Service at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, we offer opportunities across both our hospital and community-based maternity settings and can discuss your preferred working areas at the interview.

Throughout your preceptorship programme, you will develop your skills, knowledge, and autonomy, to prepare you for your transition to a Band 6 Midwife. Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust will continue to support your continuous professional development throughout your career so that you are able to achieve your personal career goals.

Here at Portsmouth, we are proud to be able to facilitate an average of 5500 births per year. As a Trust, we are lucky to have standalone birth centres, co-located units and home birth options. This is an exciting time to come and work for Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust as we move forward with our future visions.

We are looking for like-minded individuals to join us and continue on our journey, of delivering exceptional care and being the number one choice of birthing units to our local families.
