Job Description
The Role
We are currently seeking applications for a Value-Add Shift Manager to join our production team at The Peanut Company of Australia (PCA), a division of Bega Foods. The successful person will manage the day-to-day operation of the plant shift, determine efficiency improvements and preventative maintenance, and provide leadership to shift staff to achieve required Safety, Quality and Production performance.
Responsibilities
- Management and performance of all shift staff and operations
- Providing leadership and management of all safety aspects in the operation of the shift
- Ensuring shift staff are given on the job training for new tasks and have successfully met the requirements of the Job Orientation Check sheet before
- Monitoring and managing on the job staff training to ensure adequate back up numbers for key operational tasks
- Effective and efficient machinery operation and staff performance to meet or exceed targets as determined using online testing sheets
About you
- Experience in a similar role having managed up to 8 production staff that comply to policies, procedures and standards
- Certificate IV or above in Frontline Management and/or WHS qualification or equivalent experience
- Ability to coach, motivate and develop staff
- Ability to uphold OH&S and quality requirements always
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Forklift license and driving experience (highly desirable)
- Previous food manufacturing experience (highly desirable)
