Veterinary Surgeon – Calne

The Opportunity:

A veterinary practice in Calne is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role offers flexibility, allowing for full-time work (four days a week) or part-time work (two to three days a week). The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, with a 1:3 Saturday rotation.

Role Details:

The successful candidate will engage in both consulting and operating duties. The clinics are well-equipped with dental X-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house lab. This position requires a focus on building strong client and patient relationships while providing high-quality care.

Location and Facilities:

Calne is a welcoming town with local amenities within walking distance, excellent schools, and proximity to the M4 Chippenham junction. The area boasts picturesque countryside views, including the White Horse of Wiltshire, visible from the practice.

Remuneration:

£55,000 to £60,000 per year

  • Provide outstanding client care with clear patient updates
  • Uphold professional excellence and regulatory compliance
  • Prepare tailored treatment and care plans with clear cost estimates
  • Mentor and develop team members, enhancing their skills
  • Ensure smooth clinical handovers and arrange for out-of-hours care as needed
  • Promote and share clinical best practices within the practice and the broader community

Skills and Experience:

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality patient and client care
  • Effective team player with strong clinical leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a progressive clinical culture
  • Experienced in supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures
  • Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues to achieve their best
