Associate Energy Market Analyst (Adelaide Office)

Job Description

We are looking for an Associate Energy Market Analyst to join our team to support our existing power modeling and data team. This role requires a creative person with attention to detail. Basic understanding of energy markets and market fundamentals is a plus.

 

Key Stakeholder Relationships

 

This position works closely and collaborates with all Energy Exemplar staff.

 

Key Accountabilities and Duties

 

• Support the analyst team with detailed market analyses and data research
• Gather information about regional markets, regulation, and market fundamentals
• Comparing model results, reviewing preliminary forecast output results for inconsistencies
• Learning and running PLEXOS to interpret output model results and energy balances

 

Candidate Requirements

 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Excellent academic record and independent, precise and reliable working style
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills in both written and spoken English
• Basic knowledge of Asian energy markets with emphasis on energy generation (Preferred)
