Tesla is looking for a highly motivated individual to manage our Infrastructure Development and Industrial projects in North America. This person must have a construction background, with project management experience. We are seeking someone with strong skills in planning and executing projects that are both new and existing. This role will be directly managing projects in the Western region of Canada, Candidates must have the proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners.

This is a full-time position that requires the flexibility of traveling when needed (up to 60%). This position will be located within Western Canada. region (BC or AB provinces, primarily).and will be based preferably in Vancouver.

What You’ll Do

  • Project oversight from real estate handoff through design, construction execution and final handover
  • Creation of project estimates/budgets and scope outline
  • Concurrently managing projects through all phases of concept, design, execution, punch list
  • Direct contractor management including safety, cost, schedule, quality
  • Ongoing collaboration with counterparts and clients to ensure seamless project execution
  • Project budget tracking and forecast reporting to management
  • Project closeout with contractors and AHJ Contractor Invoice review and approval
  • Coordination of site inspections with local AHJ and contractors
  • AHJ Contractor Invoice review and approval

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in Construction & Project management
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related subject and 4-6 years of field experience
  • Thorough understanding of construction administration processes, including contracts, budgets, construction documents, change orders, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and material procurement
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Must have the ability to discuss technical topics with a variety of audiences – contractors, engineers, and members of various teams within Tesla
  • Ability to identify potential problems prior to them becoming a larger issue
  • Understanding of forecast planning and budgeting
  • Strong desire to be a part of a world-class team focused on achieving amazing results
  • Strong ability to self-manage working outside of the office environment
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. passport
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
