What is Practice Assist?
Practice Assist is an innovative service that supports GP practices across the country by providing access to telephone appointments for patients. This will free up GP time within the practices to support those patients that really need to be seen and this is all done virtually.
About The Role
Run by Practice Plus Group, the UK’s largest independent provider of NHS services, we are seeking experienced GPs to join our hard-working Practice Assist team on a self-employed basis.
The role involves carrying out telephone consultations for patients across the country, with read / write access to their medical records so a full consultation can be carried out and documented. This work is to be carried out virtually from the comfort of your own home.
You will be part of a close working team of GPs, working on a self-employed or bank basis with the service.
We are looking for GPs who are confident on the phone, as well as have evident experience with EMIS as well as SystemOne.
What you will need:
- GMC registration certificate and inclusion on the GP Performers List with a valid CCT.
- Experience in confidently managing acute and chronic presentations for both adult and pediatric patients, with a proven ability to maintain and monitor high standards of care.
- Excellent listening and communication skills, with experience of telephone assessment and good IT/keyboard skills.
