Your Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Fundraising & Marketing Team as the Social Media & Content Coordinator! This role will see you work closely with a range of internal stakeholders to execute our social media strategy. You will be responsible for the creation of engaging and relevant content across traditional and emerging social media platforms, as well as producing compelling video stories and contributing to Mission Australia’s larger digital content strategy.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Plan, produce, and execute social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok
  • Create content for social media channels, including graphics, photos, videos, and written copies
  • Contribute to video production for social media, including ideation, filming, script writing, and editing
  • Connect with our front-line staff across the nation to source compelling case studies and stories that drive donations, demonstrate the impact our supporters are making, and encourage clients to access our service
  • Collaborate with in-house designers to develop creative concepts and communications that inform, involve, and engage target audiences and deliver to content strategies/briefs
  • Interact with social media followers and facilitate meaningful connections that foster relationships and increase brand awareness
  • Create monthly reports on social media activity and competitor analysis and provide recommendations and insights
  • Assist in the execution of Mission Australia’s content strategy by producing high-quality content for the website

Requirements for Success

  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams across the business
  • At least 3 years experience developing content for digital platforms
  • Proficiency in social media platforms including, scheduling, moderating and reporting
  • Demonstrates a hands-on approach to content creation, utilizing tools such as Canva
  • Confidence in sourcing original stories that are compelling, inspiring and aligned to Mission Australia’s brand guidelines and target audience
  • Ability to produce video content for social media including and experience leveraging tools such as CapCut
  • Open to innovation and approaches work with curiosity and an awareness of changing trends
  • Knowledge of or previous experience in fundraising is desirable
