Job Description

Freson Bros., an Alberta-owned and operated fresh food retail chain, invites entrepreneurial-minded individuals to apply for the Bakery Department Manager position. The Bakery Department Manager is an integral leadership role within the Freson Bros. (Fresh Market) – Sundre, Alberta store and Freson Bros. company.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of progressive bakery or restaurant management experience A history of meeting financial objectives and targets in a bakery or a restaurant environment Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Effective critical thinking and conflict resolution skills Strong Google Suite skills and the ability to quickly learn new computer programs A passion for leading and developing others Knowledge of the basic principles of bakery preparation, various baking methods, and food safety regulations Ability to work different shifts including early mornings, weekends and holidays Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds Freson Bros.

Role and Responsibilities:
Lead Bakery Team to: Measure, mix, scale, and hand-mould various types of artisanal bread Hand-mould bread, baguettes, boule Bake and score traditional bread and bakery products Operate bakery equipment (i.e. commercial mixers, rack ovens, proofer, bread slicer) Inventory Management through weekly ordering, record & invoice maintenance, and leading quarterly inventory counts Schedule Bakery Team Members to ensure that production and customer needs are met Ensure company standards are met and department programs are followed Assist the Store Manager with recruiting while maintaining a high-performance work team Train, develop and motivate Bakery Team Members Resolve customer and Bakery department concerns and complaints, and provide a positive customer experience Champion the Freson Bros. Brand and culture by modeling our qualities of Drive, Integrity, and Growth
Position Details:
Position Type: Full-Time Location: Sundre, Alberta Salary: $48,000 – $55,000 per year Freson Bros.
