Workskil Australia is a national not-for-profit and charity, with over 40 proud years of supporting Australians to achieve sustained economic and social self-reliance. They do this by a range of employment, work experience, disability, youth, Indigenous and community services across South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria. The role of the Chief People Officer is now sought to lead and manage the people and culture function across the organisation to support the successful delivery of services.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will be responsible for leading a direct team of 4 and an overall team of 21 across generalist human resources, learning and development, talent and diversity and inclusion. You will develop and implement a people and culture strategy that prioritises HR foundations, key projects and timelines for performance development, workforce planning, recruitment and employee and industrial relations. As the business operates from 50 locations you will build and manage key stakeholder relationships and provide high level strategic advice to leaders and staff to build on and improve organisational capacity, capability and trust.

A generalist HR leader, you will have strong experience in a complex and fast paced work environment where you have successfully implemented strategies and processes to attract, train, support and retain employees and leaders. With expertise across human resources methodology, practice and delivery, you will demonstrate strong credibility, whilst ensuring that governance, risk management and legislative requirements are at the forefront of all people and culture functions. Fine-tuned stakeholder management skills, relevant tertiary qualifications, as well as high level commercial acumen is essential in this role.
