What You Will Do
The Software Developer is responsible for having a strong aptitude for understanding sophisticated business problems and translating their technical knowledge into practical, implementable solutions that will drive high-impact business value.
The successful candidate will work closely with other team members to maintain internal applications and develop new products and services.
  • Work with stakeholders, technology, and agile project managers to define business requirements for every scrum/project and map out end-to-end solutions
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Architecture teams to design and implement scalable and reliable Machine Learning infrastructure
  • Optimize ML workflows for scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency on the AWS cloud platform
  • Implement monitoring and logging systems to track the performance and health of ML models and infrastructure
  • Implement, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and storage
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and data inconsistencies
  • Liaise with internal user groups as needed to effectively program applications based on business and systems requirements
  • Ensures that functional specifications can be implemented technically while developing and innovating creative solutions
  • Be an integral part of the Information System team focused on the effective development and support of internal facing applications
  • Work closely with peers and business partners to deliver high-quality projects and innovative solutions that advance Fidelity’s position within the Mutual Fund Industry
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Strong understanding of Machine Learning concepts, algorithms, and frameworks
  • Proficiency in Python programming language
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and their ML services (e.g., AWS SageMaker)
  • Good to have – Ability to write SQL on Cloud-based data warehouses, such as Snowflake and Redshift
  • Knowledge and experience in developing applications for the mutual fund/investment industry would be an asset

Education
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Economics, or Mathematics or equivalent work experience
