Purovets are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at a small animal general practice on a permanent basis. They are able to offer a role that can be tailored towards your own clinical interests, and they are keen to ensure that all of their clinical staff’s development is ensured with full certificate support for those that wish to undertake it. Also, vets with less clinical experience are encouraged to apply, as they have the resources to allow you to grow as a clinician.

You will be working in a growing practice with great facilities including 3 consult rooms, cat ward, dog ward, operating theatre, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound and access to endoscope if needed. Working alongside a wonderful nurse team, they have 2 vets who have been qualified for 7 years. They hold the ISFM silver award for cat care. One vet has a post graduate certificate and another in Feline medicine. They also have SignalPet, which uses artificial intelligence to provide support interpreting radiographs. The nurses are very knowledgeable with a few certificates between them, including ECC, Ncert in medicine, Fear Free certificate, Ncert in consulting and the ISFM qualification.

Their flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career. Although this advert is for a full-time position, they would consider any flexible working request and part time hours for the right candidate. A typical full-time role would involve working 40 hours per week over 4 days with a shared Saturday rota. There are no on-call or out of hours required.

You will be working in Bloxwich, a historic town in the West Midlands that is known for its industrial heritage. It has evolved into a vibrant community, and with a mix of traditional architecture and modern amenities, it offers a rich cultural experience. Bloxwich boasts strong transport links, including regular bus services connecting to Walsall, Wolverhampton, and Birmingham, and major roads, including the A34 and M6, enhance connectivity, making Bloxwich an accessible and well-connected town.
