The Job

As a NIGHT MARKET experience designer, your primary responsibility will be to create visually impressive and user-friendly website designs that align with NM and our client’s brand identity and enhance their overall user experience. You will work closely with a team of copywriters, art directors, designers, developers, and content creators to bring our clients objectives to life through well thought through, high-quality designs where we will continually improve upon them to ensure its continuous improvement.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
80% – Content Production:
Design and develop visually appealing website layouts, graphics, and user interfaces that reflect our client’s brand guidelines and design principles.
Create prototypes, and mock-ups to effectively communicate design concepts and gather feedback for iterative design improvements.
Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies to ensure NM’s clients work remains modern, engaging, and competitive.
Optimize website designs for responsiveness, accessibility, and performance across various devices and platforms.
Work closely with developers to ensure seamless integration of design elements into the website, while maintaining design integrity and functionality.
20% – Idea Generation & Teamwork:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into innovative and effective design solutions.
Actively participate in design critiques, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional meetings to contribute ideas, provide feedback, and promote a collaborative design culture.

Knowledge and Skills Required

3-5 years’ building mobile/ desktop/ responsive experiences.
Proven experience as a website designer, preferably in a fast-paced, consumer-oriented company.
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects etc.).
Experience with responsive design and familiarity with mobile-first design principles.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices for web design.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript a plus.
Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, color theory, and layout composition.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
A portfolio showcasing your design work and highlighting your relevant work experience.
Salary Range: $1,538.46 to 1,826.92 a week. A successful applicant’s actual weekly or hourly rate may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.

Physical Activity and Work Environment
Position may involve light physical activity pertaining to photo and video production. This includes lifting tripods, gear, props or assistant producing.
