Job Title: Full Stack Developer

Location: Plymouth (On-Site)

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Salary: Starting from £35k

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Software Developer to join our team within a busy manufacturing business. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining innovative software solutions that enhance our manufacturing processes and drive efficiency across our operations. Your expertise in various technologies, including C#, SQL, Visual Studio, ASP.NET, Bootstrap, JavaScript, mobile technologies, and Azure, will be instrumental in delivering high-quality software solutions.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, operations, and IT, to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into scalable software solutions.
  • Design, develop, and deploy robust full stack applications using C#, SQL, Visual Studio, ASP.NET, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
  • Ensure the efficient integration of software applications with manufacturing systems, databases, and third-party tools to optimize manufacturing processes and improve productivity.
  • Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing methodologies, and version control, to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, evaluating their potential impact on our manufacturing systems and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues, providing timely resolutions and implementing preventive measures to minimize future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the secure and reliable deployment of software applications in an on-site IIS or Azure environment.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new software development tools, frameworks, and libraries.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT discipline or equivalent multi-year work experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Developer, with a focus on manufacturing or related domains.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, SQL, Visual Studio, ASP.NET, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and mobile technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure or other cloud platforms, including deployment and management of software applications.
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a small team of software developers, including task assignment, performance evaluation, and mentoring.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyse complex business requirements to propose effective software solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and self-driven attitude with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Xamarin / .NET MAUI / Cross Platform Development desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Experience with SAP or another ERP system would be an advantage.
