What You’ll Do
News Corp is looking for an Associate, FP&A to join our Corporate Finance team at our NYC headquarters. This is an integral role that supports the management reporting, budget and forecasting, performance measurement, board reporting and strategic projects. The primary responsibilities include providing input and managing processes around company’s financial forecasts, operating plan, income statement, cash flow and other financial analysis that lead to accurate business decision-making and effective communication with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Play a key role in the preparation, analysis and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting/forecasting process including income statement, balance sheet, and capital results as well as variances between actuals, budget and forecasts
  • Develop and maintain standardized best practices regarding the reporting and analysis of business performance on a consolidated basis
  • Play a key role in the management and preparation of the weekly, monthly and quarterly Flash process including analyzing and summarizing variances between actuals, budget and prior year
  • Maintain an effective communication process with key stakeholders and Business Partners to ensure that budgets, outlooks and monthly/quarterly analyses are accurate, complete and timely
  • Provides standard and ad hoc analysis; looks for new ways to analyze the business and drive productivity
  • Support the collection and review of financial information from business units and preparation of the CFO and CEO deck which is distributed to the Board of Directors and executive management.
  • Support the cash flow analysis and reporting of large cash movements including investments, asset sales, acquisitions, and capital expenditures
  • Supports preparation of major financial presentations and reports to senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Supports the implementation of corporate initiatives including changes in reporting requirements
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • 1-3 years of FP&A experience
  • Management reporting experience
  • Strong communication skills and management experience
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills for creating insightful, actionable reporting and measurement systems
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure and in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines, ability to take initiative
  • Self-starting collaborator with a strong work ethic
  • Process oriented approach and focused attention to detail with high standards for quality and accuracy in his/her work product
  • High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft products including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
Preferred Skills & Knowledge
  • Master’s degree preferred
Location: New York
Working Arrangement: Hybrid – a minimum of three days in office per week

Pay Range: $60,000 – $100,000
