We at Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies run the business operations of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) in the Americas. Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies is a joint venture between Freudenberg and NOK Corp. in Japan, is headquartered in Plymouth, MI, operates more than 20 facilities and employs about 4,700 people across the Americas.
Chemical Engineer
Responsibilities
- Screens and applies safety standards and regulations for the business
- Leads a team of Test Engineers
- Collaborates with internal teams to set-up detailed risk analyses
- Performs tests and validates systems, while measuring and tracking performance
- Coordinates the planning and fulfillment of external certifications through ensuring the required tests are implemented
- Participates in discussions with international regulatory bodies to align and improve the internal international codes and standards set in place
- Coordinates and monitors the fulfillment of all legal and internal requirements regarding Health, Safety and Environment
- Leads by example and line with the Freudenberg Guiding Principles and the Code of Conduct, while developing employees, driving Talent Acquisition and Management processes, and fostering a proactive work culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Relevant Field; advanced degree preferred or compensating years of experience
- 3+ years of Industry-relevant experience
- Relevant certifications, system experience, and training
- Professional-Level English language skills preferred
