The Learning Support Analyst leads the coordination and analysis of Deakin short courses, delivered on open learning platforms by a combination of Deakin academics, industry partners and casuals. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, analytical, project management and technical expertise in learning techniques and technologies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing technical and process support to Deakin academics, industry partners and casuals in the use of learning technologies.
Designing, developing, maintaining and engaging accessible and inclusive training resources and activities in collaboration with project and teaching teams related to the use of learning technologies, including user guides and training manuals.
Setting up and managing access to learning systems to teaching teams ensuring all users have the necessary permissions and training to use the systems and data effectively.
Troubleshooting technical issues related to learning technologies and provide timely resolutions to minimise downtime
Managing and monitoring learning analytics data, providing insights and reports to Faculty, project stakeholders and teaching teams to inform teaching strategies and support student success.
Managing online assessments within short courses including management of quality assurance processes and the distribution to teaching teams, key stakeholders and result release to students.
Managing projects related to the delivery of short courses across various learning technologies, including developing project plans, tracking progress, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
Collaborating with other teams and departments to ensure a seamless user experience for short course learners, project stakeholders and faculty, and to identify opportunities for process and learning design improvements.
Communicating and provide advice with confidence to teaching teams using examples and the most appropriate influencing technique for a given situation to increase understanding and support.
To be successful, you’ll have:

Qualifications and experience

A Degree with at least 3 years subsequent relevant experience; or
Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or
An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/ or education/ training
Demonstrated ability and experience in managing learning delivery, curriculum development and/or teaching online education programs including effective communication when working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and ability to analyse data, identify trends and make recommendations to improve student experience.
Up to date knowledge and application of learning and teaching theory and practice including online learning management systems (LMS), online collaboration tools and other learning technologies including experience trouble shooting technical issues related to these tools
Outstanding interpersonal skills including ability to negotiate, motivate, influence and build relationships with a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
Experience in developing innovative solutions and a commitment to continuous improvement, openness to new ideas and creative approaches to problems solving with established timelines
Experience in higher education, such as working in an academic institution or supporting short course programs (preferred)
