Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you’re near one), at home or a bit of both, it’s up to you.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that’s all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you’ll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:
Producing live experiences (pop-ups, product launches, sponsor integrations, trade shows, etc.) across the cultural calendar and beyond
Supporting the planning, production, and execution of experiential, with specific attention to the objectives and business goals of each initiative
Building and managing production budgets and oversee event timelines, vendor relationships and internal approvals
Navigating projects at various budget points with a willingness to negotiate with vendors, whilst being ‘creative’ with the approach to events to deliver to an exceptionally high standard at any budget
Having a creative point of view on projects/productions assigned, while pushing boundaries for innovations, fresh concepts, and elevating current output
Managing large teams of internal and external stakeholders and building great relationships to ensure the work is amplified across relevant channels in support of the work
You’re probably a match if
You have diverse experience in bringing brands to life with 5-7 years of work to show in events, experiential or production and have creatively developed and produced events on a large and small scale
You have worked in agencies or have managed and worked with multiple agencies at the same time
You are an expert at experience building, knowing what makes audiences tick and how Canva can cut through the clutter
You care about bringing things to life with a visual point of view and have a deep understanding of translating brand needs into experiential activations
You effectively engage stakeholders in the development of events and lead the process with the ability to drive the story and creative vision
You have the ability to mix creativity with strategic thinking and demonstrate strong interpersonal and prioritization skills
You are an energy giver with a positive outlook and the ability to influence your team leads, peers, and senior leaders across all company functions
You have high emotional intelligence, empathy. Sense of humor is a must!
You are a team player, enjoy being collaborative and are open to lend a helping hand to colleagues as needed
You enjoy a fast paced environment and are excited about working with a global team, frequent travel is expected of whomever will fill the role…but we make it fun!
