The opportunity

This role is accountable for UniSuper doing this by delivering and maintaining automation that enable the business for greater growth whilst maintaining the security and operational structure.

This role will have end-to-end responsibility for the ongoing implementation and improvement of toolset management and use; providing guidance and design input and working within the Engineering and DevOps team to collaboratively and continuously uplift the capability and skills of the team as a whole.

Achieve results not only on a technical level across Cloud, DevOps and automation technologies but also encompassing modern ways of working to help deliver high quality outcomes for the organisation.

You will ensure delivery of

  • Secure, stable, fit-for-purpose automation and orchestration solutions for the platform
  • Quality outcomes based on best practice, contributing to the overall capability maturity of IaC delivery at UniSuper
  • Governance and design input ensuring good practice and operational requirements are represented at all stages of the lifecycle.
  • Contributing to a delivery culture which meets the demands of Projects and Delivery Enablement initiatives.
  • Project delivered on time

Be a change advocate by continuously upskilling and capability improvement of the Infrastructure and Cloud including the DevOps team as a whole.

 

About you

We are looking for an individual who has worked in fast-moving transformation environment and is comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity.

  • Passion for superannuation and the positive impact it has on members’ retirement outcomes
  • Experience in Cloud Technologies, Automation toolsets (eg, Ansible, Terraform, ADO), System Administration (VMware, Microsoft Ecosystem, Networking)
  • Ability to work autonomously with little guidance
  • Strong technical leadership based on industry knowledge and experience and sound knowledge of the regulatory framework under which superannuation funds operate
  • Strong stakeholder management and experience in developing external business relationships
