Your responsibilities will include:

You can release your full database/system administration potentials and to further hone your interest, skills and experience.

DBAs will have a range of responsibilities including but not limited to, full data lifecycle needs of ALIS, data currency, data protection, data availability, data management tool (i.e. Oracle DBA, DB2 etc) and security.

Systems Administrators will be the first point of contact for customer inquiries and have a broad spectrum of tasks falling under the below categories:

  • Backup, Restore, Disaster Recovery
  • System Maintenance and Monitoring
  • System Configuration Control
  • User Maintenance and Support

You will also deliver on the job training and knowledge transfer to RAAF ALIS Administrators. So, well developed communication skills and ability to work with diverse set of stakeholders will be key to your success.

About you:

If your background and experience are in IT/database/systems review/admin for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy, we look forward to connecting with you today!

The skills and abilities you will bring include (but not limited to):

  • Relevant environments that demand customer interaction and working with some degree of ambiguity
  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline (typically Information Technology)
  • SQL, Oracle, Linux or Windows OS experience required
  • Ability to travel interstate on occasion

You must be an Australian citizen or has the right to work in Australia – hold/eligible to hold CoA security clearance.

Technical background and understanding of the Department of Defence technical environment will set you apart!!
