Regional Sales Manager – Western Canada

Job Description

The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Dealer Sales Channel to drive sales and profitability in Western Canada.
What You Need to Know:
  • Develop and execute the strategic business and sales plan that directly supports the overall vision and company objectives.
  • Direct implementation and execution of sales policies and practices.
  • Lead and hold Territory Managers accountable for maximizing the value of individuals through effective coaching and mentoring, and meeting KPI’s at an individual and departmental level.
  • Facilitate the peak performance of the sales organization and dealer network as related to sales goals, dealer performance, and business growth.
  • Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.
  • Facilitate alignment between the sales group and the balance of the organization.
  • Regularly assess (through sales reports, dealer surveys, and other reconnaissance) the performance and support needs of Territory Managers and dealers. Formulate and implement solutions that address deficits.
  • Partner with Business Units and Marketing groups to develop sales and promotional campaigns or to craft extemporaneous programs that respond to the competition.
  • Direct the planning, forecasting, and performance measurements necessary
  • Coordinate with Wells Fargo and other financial suppliers on business opportunities
  • Develop and manage regional operating budgets.
What We Are Looking For:
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior-level sales position, including leadership assignments, recruiting, managing, motivating, and coaching a sales team with an emphasis on meeting sales goals and increasing market share
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience managing dealer relationships
  • Experience in developing and executing plans that have driven significant incremental revenue and EBITDA growth in their business
  • Business leadership experience in the Outdoor Power Equipment industry preferred
  • Excellent leadership skills and proven manager of people with the ability to attract, develop and retain “A” level talent and build a strong team
  • Mature and politically astute with a high degree of intelligence, integrity and honesty, initiative, and drive
  • Ability to synthesize, analyze and present data, including solid skills in recognizing, evaluating, and recommending areas for change
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to present ideas in a clear, concise, and compelling fashion to their team and senior management
  • Consensus builder with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to communicate with non-financial executive peers and garner support for change
  • Proficiency at the intermediate to experienced level with email and MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% and work extended hours as required.
