As a key member of our Cloud and Application Modernisation team, you’ll be responsible for designing and deploying client environments through code, developing build pipelines, embedding security in everything you do and implementing best practices on AWS.

You’ll bring your cloud and platform experience to a company where we strive to make a difference to our clients, whilst at the same time providing a great modern workplace for you to thrive.

In your role as a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will:
Provide consulting services that combine architectural vision with hands-on technical experience using some of the latest cloud technologies and methods
Design, develop, build, and operate sophisticated and highly automated secure AWS and Hybrid infrastructure that adheres to Industry compliance standards
Use software development and Software Configuration Management (SCM), DevOps, and Continuous Integration methods to build, configure and manage the infrastructure
Building strong trusted relationships with new and existing clients through thought leadership, strong delivery, and great relationships which align with CMD’s principles

The tech skills you should bring:
AWS services experience in particular EC2/ECS/S3/CloudWatch/CodePipeline and DevOps related domains
Infrastructure-as-code including CloudFormation, CDK and/or Terraform
Code Management System – GitHub, BitBucket or Gitlab
Cloud and virtualization scripting – AWS CLI and/or SDK
VPCs, Security Groups, and NACLs
Automation and Configuration Management platforms such as Ansible and Puppet
CI/CD practices and tools including Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines or Gitlab runners
Containers and Microservices – such as Docker and containerization technologies: Kubernetes (Redhat Openshift, EKS, GKE, AKS)
