The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the development of software projects at the Institute for Evidence-Based Healthcare (IEBH), primarily the Systematic Review Accelerator (SRA) https://sr-accelerator.com/.

The Software Developer will be required to work independently as needed and as part of a dedicated team. They will take responsibility for developing research automation software and where necessary help junior software developers improve their skills.

About the person

This exciting position will report to the Automation Lead, IEBH, and will have the opportunity to oversee the quality software development work done in the team.

The successful candidate will have:

  • a Computer Science/Information Technology degree from a recognised educational institution OR equivalent industry qualifications or experience in a commercial or educational workplace OR intended progress towards the same.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies
  • Experience developing user interfaces in a modern web framework, such as React / Vue / Svelte.
  • Experience in Web 2.0 application development using HTML/JavaScript

Salary details

The salary for the position commences at $83,971.10 (Full Time Equivalent) plus 10.5% superannuation per annum. Applications will also be considered from candidates seeking a part-time appointment at a minimum 60% FTE (22.5 hours per week), salary pro-rata based on FTE.
