Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Content Designer to join our Commerce team. Cash App’s Commerce team is building an ecosystem where merchants can grow their businesses and customers come to connect with businesses they love. As a Content Designer on the Commerce team, you’ll focus on making it easy for anyone to turn an idea into a reality and start selling using Cash App.

You will:

Be charged with simplifying, organizing, and explaining a complex ecosystem of concepts and features, including in-person and online payment methods, buy now pay later, business profiles, discounts, and loyalty programs
Name new features and craft key messages and value propositions
Work alongside other content designers, product designers, researchers, product managers, analysts, and engineers to understand customer needs, define requirements, and align on business goals
Develop a UX and content strategy point of view and communicate recommendations in order to influence the product development process from ideation to launch
Find intuitive and elegant solutions, crafting copy that resonates with our growing audience and provides measurable value to the business

 

Qualifications

8+ years experience in content strategy, UX writing, content design (or whatever you happen to call it)
Experience working on payments, e-commerce, or related products and a passion for the space
Strong UX and systems thinking, plus insight into product strategy
Experience building successful cross-functional partnerships
A portfolio that showcases your writing, any relevant work on mobile apps, and a range of content strategy deliverables

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $152,100 – USD $185,900
Zone B: USD $144,500 – USD $176,700
Zone C: USD $136,900 – USD $167,300
Zone D: USD $129,300 – USD $158,100
