Our client is currently offering exciting positions for experienced Data Scientists to join their Business Units. They value candidates who possess domain experience in areas such as Healthcare, Public Sector, Defence, and National Security.

Role and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to expand your skill set by collaborating with our client’s team of specialist Data Scientists and Software Engineers on a variety of projects. These projects range from rapid prototyping and research to the development of high-grade enterprise systems.

You may find yourself developing data science solutions within their client-side teams across the UK or working on groundbreaking projects at our UK-based offices. We also offer the possibility of hybrid working arrangements where feasible. Additionally, if you are interested, there is an opportunity to provide technical leadership to junior team members and engage with stakeholders throughout the development cycle.

Our client’s data analytics work covers a wide range of data types, including structured and unstructured data (such as text and images). They utilize various software and select the most appropriate approach to meet their customers’ needs. For instance, you may apply your software expertise to tackle big data or data streaming challenges using open-source technologies. Alternatively, your statistical background might come into play as you develop machine-learned models for data classification. You might also specialize in data visualization techniques, enabling our client’s customers to easily access and interpret their data.

The projects you work on will be diverse, involving different clients and sectors, and requiring a range of skills. Therefore, we are seeking individuals who can adapt and work flexibly across projects in various domains. You may apply your skills to rapidly prototype new approaches and solutions, as well as enhance existing ones.

Key Competencies:

• Large-scale (‘big data’) data ecosystems, cloud infrastructure, and analytic frameworks.
• Techniques and toolkits for data cleansing, preparation, processing, fusion, and analysis.
• Techniques and toolkits for real-time data stream combination and analysis.
• Programming languages and techniques for data visualization.

While not essential, familiarity with fundamental concepts in network communications, network connectivity, autonomy, and cybersecurity would be advantageous, as our client operates in these fields.

Security Information: Given the nature of this position, our client requires candidates to be willing and eligible to obtain a minimum of SC clearance. To qualify, you should be a British Citizen who has resided in the UK for the last 5 years for SC clearance, and 10 years for DV clearance. For further information regarding clearance eligibility, please refer to the United Kingdom Security Vetting website.

A high-level clearance bonus is available and will be considered upon application.
