This opportunity

The Deal Manager is part of the Enterprise, Government & Wholesale segment responsible for managing large value complex opportunities end to end from ownership of the submission to the customer as well as managing the negotiation phase in the Enterprise and Government space.


End-to-end opportunity management managing large deals through an internal gated process from Sales Qualification through to Contract negotiations
Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic, and business issues impacting the large deal environment
Understand the complex requirements of the Tier 1 customer to align the large deal in the most appropriate manner
Ensure ownership of all deal content to professionally produce proposals that are submitted within Tier 1 customer-defined timeframes and follow standard formatting and quality standards.
Proactively plan the milestone phases to address all internal Gated inputs from the various sectors of Enterprise & Government including Senior Leadership Team and Executive approvals requirements
Liaise with internal stakeholders at varying levels for their input into the content of the proposal
Proactively assess the associated commercial and technical risks for a large multi-million dollar opportunity
Review the commercial aspects of the large deal to ensure all services are included in the final pricing at the conclusion of our initial submission and BAFO stages.
Deliver competitive proposals against agreed RFP deadlines – escalating issues when required.
External discussions with Prospective and existing customers along with varied consultants
Review/coach on documents and sections created by internal stakeholders and partners into the required tender format.
Schedule / facilitate all post-bid reviews with customers, consultants and internal stakeholders post contract award.
Knowledge and experience

Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar Large Deal Management role (Telecommunications/ICT experience is the preference)
Exceptional project management skills are essential for this role
Demonstrated experience in end-to-end opportunity management managing large Tier 1 deals through internal gated processes from Sales Qualification through to experience in Contract negotiations
Strong influencing/networking skills
Ability to interact with Senior Leadership Team and Executive Group Level
Mandatory experience in Telco/ICT large deals
Proven ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines
Exemplary interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills
Excellent time management and organisational skills managing large deal opportunities at a time
Demonstrated experience in managing conflicting priorities and projects and initiate escalation where appropriate.
Strong research skills and the ability to withstand high stress levels
Ability to interact with culturally diverse groups
