Machine Learning Developer SR – Pre id (Srilekha Polopalle)

Job Description

The applicant should have strong fundamentals in Natural Language Understanding with experience working on Text Summarization, Text Classification, Transfer Learning, Reinforcement Learning and other skills associated with performing NLP work. The ideal candidate would have experience working with OpenAI’s GPT-3 APIs and services to deploy customized applications which utilize GPT models under the hood. Client is undertaking several projects which will be GPT enabled from document summarization, to report generation to question answering and more.

This resource will support the Initiation, Definition and Execution Phases of the project.

The developers will be tasked with training and tuning GPT based models for the following applications: Enterprise Intelligent Search, Enterprise Chatbot and QnA bot, Nuclear Classification model PoC.

The following tasks are required to be done for each application:

 

Perform fine tuning of GPT-3 models for use in client custom applications

Prepare client data for input into GPT-3 fine tuning tasks

Support evaluation of industry trends to explore GPT-3 alternatives for use cases which do not require as large of a model

Train in house language models based on open source architectures

Research new NLP techniques: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in NLP and machine learning, and apply new techniques to improve the performance of OpenAI’s language models or potentially use alternatives if they outperform OpenAI.

Produce documentation for any developed models or applications

Support creation of training materials for end users of ML tools

Support creation and updating of responsible AI materials for end users

Evaluate language models for bias, fairness, and explainability

Visualize and present insights and models clearly and effectively to diverse audiences

The successful applicant must have used GPT-3 APIs in their prior work either via OpenAI or Azure. The following skills are not mandatory but are desirable:

• Familiarity with Azure Machine Learning
• Familiarity with deploying production models in Azure

Experience with Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos and CI/CD pipelines)
